Saying, “reality series are a lot like heroin…There’s a real big high at first, followed by a long low,” UPN’s president Dean Valentine announced that Chains of Love will not return to UPN, the LA Times reports. He blames low ratings on competition from other shows in the time slot. And although UPN is working with Endemol developing a show about families spending quality time together, the network isn’t pursuing the development of any more shows like Chains of Love.
