First plans for Destination Mir are up in the air because of Russia’s plans to bring the space station down; now, NBC has cancelled plans for Chains of Love, production company Endemol’s show where one woman is literally chained to four guys for a week. Endemol wanted NBC to air the show in two-hour blocks; NBC said no way. Now, that commitment of 16 hours of programming will be divided among two other Endemol shows, “Sweet Revenge” and “Now or Neverland.” Endemol, you’ll recall, has a history of making horrific programming decisions; they’re the yahoos responsible for Big Brother.
