ArchivesFOX presses its luck tonight when it debuts yet another singing talent show that follows in the footsteps of its own American Idol. Celebrity Duets debuts tonight at 8 p.m. ET with a special two-hour episode; it will air next on Sept. 7, in its normal timeslot, Thursdays at 9. Results shows will air Fridays at 9.
The competition features less impressive celebrities (Jai Rodriguez, Hal Sparks, Lea Thompson) performing actual duets with impressive singers (Macy Gray, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Smokey Robinson). Those big-name celebrity performers will only appear once, and after each week’s duets, viewers will vote, one C-list celebrity will go home. Wayne Brady hosts the festivities.
Over on Bravo, Million Dollar Listing debuts at 9 p.m. ET. The series “follows the trials and tribulations of two real estate companies, one in Hollywood and one in Malibu, and exposes the intense work and competition that it takes to move the hot listing of the week.”
Each episode follows two houses being sold, and if that sounds kind of boring, Bravo promises that “storylines range from a hysterical divorcee forced to sell her multi-million dollar home, to an agent whose personal ties to the seller (her ex-fiance) get in the way of a potential sale.”
