Paula Abdul’s name floated again, this time to judge CBS’ new competition Got to Dance

Because prime-time network TV needs another live dance competition with a panel of judges, CBS will air its own version of the UK’s Got to Dance, and may recruit Paula Abdul to judge.

The dance competition differs from So You Think You Can Dance because “dancers of any age, group-size and style will compete to become the country’s favorite dance act,” CBS said in a press release. Viewers vote during the semi-finals and finals, which will air live, and of course there will be a panel of judges. Creativity is alive and well.

Perhaps the only interesting thing is that Paula Abdul’s endless search for post-Idol employment has connected her to this show, too. “CBS has expressed some interest in a certain choreographer-turned-reality TV star for the gig — Paula Abdul,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
