ArchivesThe CW’s search for the next Pussycat Doll, which will become a series called, oddly enough, The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll, will visit a number of cities over the coming month.
The show wants “young women from all different backgrounds … who want to express their raw talent, inner beauty and femininity.” In other words, women who are comfortable dancing suggestively in their underwear. For the audition, producers want to see either a live or videotaped “two (2) minute performance incorporating both singing and dancing elements” accompanied by two songs, “one of which must be upbeat, R&B tempo and the second of which may be from a genre of your choice.”
Open casting calls continue in LA on Saturday, and move on to Houston, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, and Miami throughout September. The show will not, however, visit Seattle; the casting site says “An error was made in an ad for audition tapes” and auditions “will not take place in Seattle.” But those in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere can apply by sending videotapes.
