The debut of Britney and Kevin: Chaotic attracted 3.46 million viewers, a heck of a lot more than watched Veronica Mars the week before, and enough people ages 18 to 34 to beat ABC, NBC and The WB. The show will continue to air on UPN, but MTV will air repeats of the show starting next Thursday at 10, according to Zap2it.com. Those in charge of assembling Britney and Kevin’s footage into semi-coherent episodes said they had just three weeks to put the series together. Susan Zirinsky tells the New York Post that producers are “really trying to present what she wanted because she and Kevin are executive producers. This is her story, how she shot it is how it appears — I actually like the honesty of it.” She adds that while Britney filtered the footage first, the footage producers “left out was because it was too goofy, but there was nothing too raw that we couldn’t put on TV.”
