Adam Jasinski jailed after pleading guilty to drug possession with intent to distribute

Big Brother 9 winner Adam Jasinski plead guilty “to possession with attempt to distribute oxycodone” after being charged with “attempting to sell 2,000 pills of oxycodone, the main active ingredient in OxyContin and other painkillers,” and also plead guilty “for failing to file a tax return for the year he won the show’s $500,000 prize,” the AP reports. He originally pled not guilty but changed that today.

Adam faces 15 years in prison, one for the tax charge and 14 for the drug charge. He was indicted last November after being accused of using his Big Brother winnings to deal drugs when he was arrested almost a year ago. He has been in drug rehab.

He’ll be sentenced Jan. 11 but “was immediately handcuffed and taken into custody to begin serving his time,” the AP reports, noting that, in court, Adam “said he is being treated for bipolar disorder and drug addiction.”
