Adam Jasinski charged with dealing oxycodone, DEA says he used Big Brother winnings to buy drugs
Big Brother 9 winner Adam Jasinski is facing 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine after being arrested Saturday for dealing oxycodone pills near Boston, an operation the DEA says he financed using his $500,000 prize from the show.
The Boston Herald reports that Adam “told U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Todd Prough that for the past several months he had used the half-million dollars to bankroll ‘obtaining thousands of pills of oxycodone’ he resold ‘to customers all along the East Coast,’ according to an affidavit Prough filed yesterday in U.S. District Court in Boston.”
The paper says that when he was arrested, the DEA agent says Adam “initially refused to surrender to verbal commands, then put up a struggle.” He was arrested, and is now being held pending a hearing, after a government witness arranged on Oct. 8 for Adam to fly to Boston to sell 2,000 oxycodone pills, and then picked him up at the airport.
The Boston Fox affiliate has video of Adam being perp-walked, which is awesome especially because he’s wearing track pants, but also because, for lack of other footage, they used choice clips from his time on the show to mock him. (Of course this comes after I mock local news. I love local news!—even if they can’t offer online video that’s not all distorted and stretched.)
