Reaction to the Big Brother 5 twin twist was slightly more dramatic in the house than it was on TV. Jase, for one, practically gave up: “I am ready to go. I don’t have a snowball’s chance at winning even $50,000.” As Jam! Showbiz’s John Powell writes, “several of the houseguests claimed they were ready to quit playing the game and just relax for the rest of their time in the house.” The reason: “the producers ‘stacked the odds’ against them. Neither [Marvin or Jase] wants to be sequestered as part of the jury or continue playing the game. When they are voted out, they just want to go home even if it means sacrificing their stipend to be on the series.” Note, however, that they’re going to wait around staring at themselves in various mirrors until they’re voted out; real horsemen would just walk.
