Big Brother 2 will debut on July 5, with one-hour episodes every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Among the changes: the viewers will have no role in nominating or booting the cast members (although producer Arnold Shapiro is looking for ways to let the audience interact). Also, there will be 12 house guests, not 10, who will participate in “competitions … relevant to living in the house—not party games.” The host will not change, however; Julie Chen, apparently deciding that her career was over anyway, will return.
