Big Brother 2

Big Brother 2’s debut draws far fewer viewers than last year.
The (alleged) changes apparently weren’t enough to give Big Brother 2 a victory over last year’s show; the new version debuted with 8.2 million viewers last Thursday, compared to last year’s either 11.5 million (the number cited by Zap2it.com) or 22.4 million (as Variety reports) viewers. Either way, this year’s premiere is far below last year’s debut, which followed an episode of Survivor. Also, Variety reports that NBC’s Friends and Spy TV beat CBS’ relaunched show, but Big Brother 2 did gain viewers in its second half-hour.
+ also: Nicole and Sheryl have been nominated for eviction.
+ and: the live feeds are still free as of 7:30 CST.
+ update: the live feeds aren’t free anymore, requiring a “Big Brother season pass” or a Real GoldPass to view the video of the rock garden and whatever else CBS decides to show.
