Proof that there is no higher power, Big Brother will likely be renewed, the New York Times reports today. With much of the blame for the show’s crappiness falling on Endemol, the production company, the Times says “CBS will want more hands-on control of future versions of the show.” A new season could come as soon as February. Also, the NYT reveals that on Friday’s finale, Julie Chen will announce the third place winner, and then enter the house, where she’ll talk to the final two contestants before telling them who wins. Then Julie will stay in the house to try to locate her career, which was hidden by the sab-a-twah. (New York Times story requires free registration.)
