woman sues Viacom over alleged Bands on the Run libel.
A 22-year-old woman shown kissing a band member in a toilet stall has sued MTV Networks and its parent company, Viacom, claiming she was libeled. Images of the woman were also used in magazine and billboard advertising for Bands on the Run. According to the BBC, Diana Lynn Daly’s lawyer said “although she signed a consent form, it was invalid because she was intoxicated at the time.”
+ also: in an interview, Flickerstick says there won’t be a second Bands on the Run—but on-screen messages during yesterday’s marathon said there will be a second season.
