Adam refused New York Times interview after being called him “homely.”
Apparently unaware that it’s every reality TV star’s duty to plaster themselves all over every piece of media they possible can, Average Joe reject/winner (depending upon your perspective) Adam Mesh says he refused to do an interview with The New York Times. The paper of record called him “homely” in Alessandra Stanley’s review of the finale. Adam also tells TV Guide that Jay Leno’s jokes about his big teeth didn’t bother him: “But when you’re 28, who cares if someone says you have big teeth or you’re chubby or you need a shave.” Will he return to reality TV a la Bachelor Bob? Adam says he’s “open to the right opportunity [to do TV again], but I’m hesitant to do something big like he did. Society as a whole roots for the underdog.”
