Critics didn’t get a chance to review The Anna Nicole Show before its Sunday debut, but they’re reviewing the premiere now, and their comments aren’t pretty. The New York Post’s Adam Buckman says the show ” is an historic disaster” that “killed” the genre of Osbournes-style shows. Entertainment Weekly’s Ken Tucker has similar thoughts: “In exploiting a barely coherent Anna Nicole Smith, E! is doing something that comes pretty close to being obscene.” The New York Times says her show proves The Osbournes “is an impossible act to follow.”
