On Wednesday, 5.4 million people tuned in to watch two hours of Amish in the City on UPN. That’s “the network’s best Wednesday performance since November 2001,” Zap2it.com reports, and “more than double what UPN has averaged on Wednesday nights this summer.” Among adults 18 to 49, and among adults 18 to 31, UPN was ahead of all three major networks and The WB, coming in second behind FOX. That network has Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to thank; The Simple Life 2 was number one in all major demographics. Over on NBC, the finale of Next Action Star came in fifth place, according to Broadcasting and Cable. UPN is repeating Amish in the City tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
