Actually Vegas-worthy act wins America’s Got Talent
Kenichi Ebina, a performance artist and dancer who does not sing and does not suck won America’s Got Talent, which means this unwatchable mess of a show finally has an act worthy of becoming a headlining Las Vegas act.
Last year, a mediocre animal act won, breaking the streak of mediocre singers winning. While I include Terry Fator in the list of mediocre singers, he is the one real exception, since he’s a ventriloquist who sang—and who’s had considerable success in Las Vegas since winning.
But as you can see from Kenichi Ebina’s performances below, he’s truly a performer made for Las Vegas, as he choreographs incredible routines and pre-tapes parts so he can dance and interact seamlessly with himself.
Before one performance, Howard Stern called him “a real genius” and Heidi Klum said he was “a superstar,” and for one that wasn’t a bunch of hyperbole.
