Piers Morgan quits America’s Got Talent
Piers Morgan is quitting NBC’s talent competition America’s Got Talent after six seasons, leaving the show with no original judges members. Judge Sharon Osbourne joined in season two, and Howie Mandel has only been on since the fifth season.
On his CNN show last night, he said, “I’ve been a judge since the show began six years ago; I’ve loved every single second. I’ve discovered that juggling, to my surprise, really is a bit more difficult than I thought. So I’m going to to focus on what will be a huge year here at CNN.”
He and the network are so relentlessly focused on news, like his departure from the reality series, that they stuck with an interview with former SNL cast member Darrell Hammond instead of covering riots by morons at Penn State who have more allegiance to their school’s athletics program than to the victims of sexual assault.
