American Juniors hasn’t found judges.
Although it debuts next Wednesday, FOX’s American Juniors, a spin-off of American Idol that will feature kids 6 to 13 competing for a spot in a five-person group, doesn’t have any judges yet. Among those under consideration: Lionel Richie, Gladys Knight, and—gasp—Paula Abdul. The show’s producer tells the New York Daily News, “We’re not out to squash kids’ dreams and desires on this show or have a Simon Cowell telling kids they’re pathetic. … The judges will act more like coaches.”
+ also: kids on the show will receive letter grades.
