American Juniors will air until 2004.
FOX’s first American Idol spin-off debuts June 3 and features kids 6 to 13 years old competing for a place in a five-member group. As of June 17, American Juniors will air in American Idol 2’s time slots, and will air until American Idol 3 debuts, according to USA TODAY. Reuters reports that may not be until next January, which means a second American Juniors will air this fall. Viewers will vote for contestants once the producers narrow the group to 20 finalists, half of who will be ages 6 to 9, and half of who will be ages 10 to 13. They “will have multiple chances to make it into the group,” Zap2it.com reports.
