Paula Abdul “invited to stay for the duration of” American Idol

In an article that’s as annoyingly incoherent as Paula Abdul, The Associated Press reports that the American Idol judge has “been invited to stay for the duration of the show, subject to agreement on the details of a new deal.” There are no direct quotations about her negotiations, but the article says Paula “says she’s optimistic that she’ll be able to negotiate a new contract to allow her to remain as an ‘American Idol’ judge.” So in other words, she’s still in talks to renew her expired contract.
