ArchivesDialIdol’s unscientific but frequently accurate predictions place Sanjaya Malakar in third place after last night’s voting, behind only favorites Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones. The rest of the top 12 are all marked as “too close to call.”
Of course, unless the producers decide to identify the top three, we probably won’t know how Sanjaya actually ranked, but DialIdol’s predictions say he’s safe. That’s surprising because, after his performance last night, the judges were not kind; Randy said, “Thank God for the background singers.”
However, if Sanjaya does stick around, and actually wins, Simon Cowell says he’ll quit the show. ‘Let me tell you this. He’s not going to win. I won’t be back if he does,” Simon told Extra.
