Ryan Seacrest’s former flame Teri Hatcher has tickets to the Idol finale

After being unceremoniously dumped by Ryan Seacrest via the telephone shortly after they were photographed in public together, Teri Hatcher has not spoken to Ryan Seacrest.

However, they may have an awkward meeting tomorrow night: at the American Idol 5 results show. According to an Us Weekly source, “Teri has had tickets for weeks and she is not going to let what happen with Ryan get in her way.” The source adds, “Teri knows that Ryan will see her sitting in the audience but she really doesn’t care. She is going with her girlfriend and can’t stop talking about how excited she is.”

In related news, Us also reports that yesterday “morning on his radio show, On-Air With Ryan Seacrest, the E! News host admitted that the president of the E! network forced him to shave this weekend.” Us Weekly now has a poll asking us if we like Ryan “Bearded” or not. As of 8 a.m. ET, 62 percent want Ryan to come clean.

Ryan is also the subject of a New York Times profile today about his rapidly expanding empire. It follows him during one of his crazy work days, which starts at 4 a.m. Ryan tells the Times that he’s scared of becoming another Dana Plato or Mindy Cohn. “I’m frightened by the thought of being out of work. Growing up, there were people on shows like ‘Diff’rent Strokes,’ ‘Facts of Life,’ ‘Love Boat’ that you thought would be huge stars for the rest of their lives, and they’ve just vanished. You never want to be that person,” he said.
