ArchivesRyan Seacrest and Paula Abdul have an “awkward” relationship, the American Idol host says. In fact, as he tells People, he is no longer speaking to her.
“I don’t know what the deal is. It’s very awkward,” he said. Let’s see, maybe it has something to do with the fact that you’ve repeatedly accused her of being drunk during the show?
Seacrest says he’s tried to talk to her, but apparently her dressing room is being heavily guarded. “You know, I walked past her dressing room the other day and there was a group of people gathered in front of the door, so I can’t even talk to her,” he told People. “Simon and I go back and forth with each other, but it’s in a different way.”
People reports that a “source close to Seacrest [now] says the Idol host was joking about the feud. But another inside source tells PEOPLE that Seacrest and Abdul’s relationship has been ‘icy’ since they each appeared separately on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno recently.” On that show, they traded insults.
