Constantine Maroulis nominated for a Tony
American Idol 4 finalist Constantine Maroulis has been nominated for a Tony Award. He’s up for best performance by a leading actor in a musical for his performance as Drew Bowie in Rock of Ages, and now has validation for being the chest hair blow-drying “fucking artist” he knew he was.
The Broadway musical is “an arena-rock love story told through the mind-blowing, face-melting hits” from the 1980s, according to its web site. Constantine originated the role off-Broadway, and in a December interview with Broadway.tv, he said, “I think people get to see a sort of sweet side of me maybe they’re not used to seeing on television.”
