ArchivesHe may be a self-declared “fucking artist,” but American Idol 4 finalist Constantine Maroulis remains very popular with his fans. (A year or so ago, I literally saw a fan pick up one of his discarded beer bottles and keep it for herself.) Now, Constantine is giving one of his fans a chance to date him for an evening, and is raising money for charity at the same time.
Currently, dinner and a date with Constantine to the Aug. 22 Rock Against Diabetes show in Las Vegas will cost you $2,050, although there’s still five days left in the auction. Right now, that’s a steal, considering the winner gets two nights at a hotel, a limo ride, dinner, drinks, a photo shoot, a $1400 Ocean Burst Minarik Goddess guitar, VIP tickets to the show, and “autographed items from EVERY artist in the building that evening, and the opportunity to meet all of the acts.” Oh, and time with Constantine.
While the auction page says that’s all “worth more than $2500 retail,” not including the date with Constantine, the show itself is hosted by Dick Donato, an experience I’m approximately valuing at -$2,500. At least the winner gets a date with Constantine.
