Carrie Underwood wins two more Grammys while four other Idols are shut out

After winning three Grammys last year, American Idol 4 winner Carrie Underwood won two more at last night’s Grammys.

Her song “Before He Cheats” won both best country song and best female country vocal performance. It was also nominated for song of the year, but lost. And Carrie was also nominated for best country collaboration for “Oh Love” along with Brad Paisley.

Of thefive other American Idol alumni who were nominated for Grammys, all lost except for one: Jennifer Hudson was nominated as the performer of “Love You I Do (From Dreamgirls),” which won best song written for a motion picture.
