American Idol 4 has its final two performers: Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood. For some reason, that isn’t quite a surprise; Simon predicted it. Interestingly, Vote for the Worst is now “supporting” Carrie Underwood, arguing that “Carrie’s going to win, unless the producers suddenly support Bo. Vonzell doesn’t stand a chance. What fun is that? So, we say, let’s give Idol the monster they’ve created.” To bleed every last Nielsen point out of the series possible, and to make sure those idiots who auditioned are embarrassed one more time, FOX airs “The World’s Worst Auditions” tonight at 9 p.m. ET, which apparently draws footage from Idol auditions from international versions of the series. The show wraps up next week with the one-hour performance show next Tuesday, and the two-hour finale on Wednesday, both starting at 8 p.m.
