There’s been yet another American Idol 4 phone number anomaly. As background, this is the third screw-up, the second of which that’s been reported by Reality TV Magazine blog. (The site is really hammering these Idol phone number errors; clearly, though, scandals bounce off the show like eggs being flung at a Tempur-Pedic mattress, as last time, no one really cared.) Anyway, the site reports that “Ryan Seacrest initially announced the phone numbers for Vonzell as 1-866-IDOLS-01 and 05. The correct numbers for Vonzell are actually 1-866-IDOLS-01 and 1-866-IDOLS-04. … Ryan then got the numbers right when he next spelled them out as 1-866-43657-01 and 1-866-43657-04.” After the break, he said, “I want to make sure I have these numbers correct for you,” and then said them again, without error.
