Fallen Idol short on new information; Idol 4’s Scott Savol finally goes home.
ABC News finally aired its American Idol expose last night and here’s a representation of all of the new things that we learned:

Yes, basically nothing. Always helpful, the AP’s David Bauder sums up the information presented during the special. Still, as The Boston Herald points out, “ABC stole most of its own thunder by advancing its ‘Fallen Idol’ sweeps special with extensive excerpts.” And as I argue in this MSNBC.com analysis, the special might have done more to damage Corey’s credibility than Paula’s, since he came off as inarticulate at best.

Meanwhile, the contestant that was on the receiving end of the most WTFs in the history of the show was finally booted last night. Even votefortheworst.com—which is down due to heavy traffic, not because of FOX, you wacky conspiracy theorists— couldn’t keep Scott Savol around. Joining Scott at the bottom of the pile was Anthony Federov, who will most likely take a walk next week, unless most of America goes deaf between now and Tuesday.
