ArchivesEnquirer says another American Idol 4 finalist threatened to out Mario.
In what hopefully is the last word on Mario Vazquez, The National Enquirer reports that “it’s an open secret that Mario is gay.” Well, duh. But here’s the new info: an alleged friend of his tells The Enquirer he quit “because a rival contestant threatened to go public with details about a relationship Mario desperately wanted to keep private.” The big question is, which American Idol 4 finalist is bitchy enough to make such a threat? And why would this really matter to Mario? Because it mattered to him, his alleged boyfriend—who told The Enquirer simply “I’m sorry, no comment”—is reported to be upset. The friend says, “Mario’s former boyfriend is devastated that Mario is denying there is anyone special in his life. This could be the last straw for their relationship.” And the alleged boyfriend apparently told yet another anonymous person, “I’ve had enough of Puerto Rican men—and of one in particular.”
