The Wednesday editions of American Idol 4, during which Ryan Seacrest screws with the emotions, hopes and dreams of the remaining semi-finalists, will be scaled back. Starting tonight, Ryan will have only 22 minutes in which to drag out the actual results and try to make the semi-finalists cry. According to Zap2it.com, these Wednesday episodes will “air at 9:30 p.m. for at least the next two weeks.” Last week’s results show was watched by “nearly 26.7 million viewers,” so the ratings aren’t to blame; the report doesn’t include any reason, other than what we all know: the eps are “always bloated.”
