ArchivesBo Bice “has successfully undergone an emergency medical procedure that was urgently needed to save his life,” a message on his band’s web site said. He “had emergency surgery for a blockage in his intestines,” MSNBC reports. As a result, he’s leaving the American Idol 4 tour.
MSNBC notes that “[a]t first the site said that Bice would be resting at home for at least six weeks, but it has now been edited to remove any reference to the amount of time Bice would need to recuperate.”
He went to the hospital before Thursday’s performance in Las Vegas, and the tour has moved on without him. This isn’t the first time this summer he’s had a physical ailment, although the first was far less severe: he broke his foot and twisted his ankle earlier this summer.
