As if anyone really cared, Madonna has weighed in on American Idol—right before the fourth season begins. Way to keep up with the times there. Anyway, Madonna explained in detail to ABC Radio Networks what she thinks about the series and its UK predecessor: “I think it’s bad.” Just in case that wasn’t clear, she adds, “I don’t like them.” Surprisingly, she actually managed to say more than four words and analyze her reaction: “I think people are obsessed with other people’s failures or heartaches and I think it gives people a certain kind of a thrill to watch them [contestants on ‘Idol’] go down.”
