producers reportedly walk off American Idol 4; Cowell will bring X-Factor to US.
A feud over possible changes to American Idol 4 led four producers to walk off the series, Extra reported. While a show spokesperson told the New York Daily News that “Nobody walked off and everything is normal,” Extra reported that “producers are said to have stormed off the show last Friday … because producers wanted to institute changes, while Fox was resistant.” Meanwhile, Simon Cowell will bring his series The X Factor to the US. The Daily News says “an American version of the show is expected to make it’s way stateside.” The UK series is a talent competition open to a wide range of performers who are mentored by one of the series’ judges.
