ArchivesOscar winner and American Idol 3 finalist Jennifer Hudson is engaged to be married to a cast member from I Love New York 2.
Punk, aka David Otunga, proposed Friday “with a Neil Lane diamond ring on the Dreamgirls Oscar winner’s 27th birthday,” People reports. The magazine says the two Chicagoans “have been dating less than a year.”
Ortunga, who graduated from Harvard Law, came in third place during the second season of the VH1 dating series, behind only Buddha and Tailor Made. In an interview with The Ledger last year, he talked about his crush on New York, and said, “I normally date women who are more quiet and humble. However, that can get really boring sometimes. I like a woman who is self-confident and has an outgoing personality.”
