American Idol 3’s Fantasia—she’s now just known by her first name—has entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 10 with her single “I Believe”. The non-number one placement isn’t because her CD didn’t sell well, but because it sold so well before it was supposed to be sold. It’s on the chart early “because of street-date violations. That means the single should easily vault to No. 1 next week. That would match the chart patterns set by former “Idol” finalists Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken,” Reuters reports. She’s the 10th Idol contestant to hit the charts, and the fifth to be on the Hot 100 chart.
