Fantasia’s single “I Believe” delayed; one Wal-Mart store will stock 5,000 copies.
American Idol 3 winner Fantasia Barrino’s “I Believe” was supposed to be in stores today. However, it won’t be released for another week. To prevent head-to-head competition between the two singles, Diana DeGarmo’s single will now be pushed back a week; it’ll be released June 29. Meanwhile, stores are preparing for mobs of fans. The Wal-Mart in High Point, North Carolina, which “usually stocks between 20 and 50 copies of other new albums,” “plans to stock 5,000 copies of the single,” according to the AP.
