Jennifer Hudson says God is to blame.
The American Idol 3-watching country is still reeling from Jennifer Hudson’s dismissal, and both speculation and conspiracy theories abound as to why she received the lowest number of votes. Jennifer has the answer, though: It was God. “I feel like He spoke and when He’s got something to say, I ain’t got nothing to say about it,” she tells Zap2it.com. Storms in the midwest prevented her relatives from voting for her, and she says, “That storm was a sign from God that it’s time to remove you from this place.” She does reject the FOX web site’s characterization that she “wasn’t able to handle the music of Barry Manilow.” She says, “I don’t think it was based on talent. If we’re gonna base it on talent, I know I was robbed. I don’t think … I don’t know exactly what it was based on, but I don’t think it was talent at all.”
