Paula Abdul cleared in FOX investigation, but Idol adds a “non-fraternization policy”

FOX’s investigation into Corey Clark’s allegations has cleared Paula Abdul of any wrongdoing. She will return to judge American Idol 5.

Corey Clark’s claims “have not been substantiated by any corroborating evidence of witnesses,” according to a FOX statement. It also said that there was “insufficient evidence that the communications between Mr. Clark and Ms. Abdul in any way aided his performance. Further, we are confident that none of these communications had any impact on the outcome of the competition.”

There will be one change to the show, however. Producers are adding “an enhanced non-fraternization policy aimed at preventing any future incidents that could even appear to call into question the relationships between contestants and judges or any other individuals working,” the statement said.
