The behavior of some of Clay Aiken’s more obsessive fans makes the American Idol 2 runner-up want to quit the music business. When he was home recently for a show, fans were camping out at his mother’s house, which caused him to call the police. He says, “My security person wasn’t getting in until later on in the evening, so I sat in the hotel room all night Friday, while all my friends went out and did their thing.” The singer also told the World Entertainment News Network, “That was one time when I thought, ‘You know what? If I just quit all this stuff, then people wouldn’t care anymore and I wouldn’t have to sit home by myself.’”
