Clay Aiken will tour solo; Matt Rogers wants on American Idol 3 tour.
American Idol 2 winne— I mean, runner-up—Clay Aiken will take off on a nearly three-month tour. It’s his third tour but first solo tour; his spring tour was with Kelly Clarkson. The summer concerts start with a free performance in New York City’s Bryant Park only July 2; show up before 6 a.m. if you want in. The American Idol 3 finalists’ 48-city tour kicks off two weeks after Clay’s tour debuts—on July 14—and is brought to you non-ironically by Pop-Tarts. It will only include the top 10 finalists, though, which leaves out number 11 Matt Rogers. He’s campaigning to be let on the tour. He tells the LA Times, apparently non-ironically, that he was booted prematurely, and only because contestants like Jasmine and John Stevens had, um, support. “It’s just whoever pulls the most votes in,” he says.
