Canadians love one of our American Idol 2 rejects. Finalist Vanessa Olivarez had a hit single in Canada, and now she’s been cast “Tracy Turnblad in the Canadian production of Hairspray, starting previews April 8 toward a May 5 opening at the Princess of Wales Theatre.” The show will run until Sept. 26, Playbill reports. Maybe she should try out for Canadian Idol.
