four wild cards will advance to American Idol 2 finals.
Tomorrow night’s episode of American Idol 2 will feature nine contestants competing for wild card positions in the finals—and four of them, not two like last year, will move on to the finals. That will add two weeks to the show’s run as 12 people compete in the finals. Also, the wild card group will include four performers who didn’t originally make it to the semi-finals; “the judges agreed that they had been too hasty in their dismissal of several of the show’s earliest auditioners,” according to Zap2it.com. Those four are Aliceyn Cooney, Janine Falsone, Olivia Mojica, and Carmen Rasmusen; the rest of the wild card competitors are Clay Aiken, Kimberly Caldwell, Chip Days, Nasheka Siddall, and Trenyce. Finally, Simon alluded to another “twist” for the show. That will probably not be Frenchie’s return, because on a call with the media, “FOX Entertainment President Gail Berman specifically addressed the Frenchie controversy and insists that she won’t be back,” Zap2it.com reports.
