Clay, Ruben’s CDs will be delayed until September and released separately.
American Idol 2 is following the pattern of the first show, already delaying the release date for the winner’s album. RCA will now release Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken’s CDs on different dates; previously, both were scheduled for release on Aug. 19. Now the only time frame mentioned is “September.” No reason for the change in plans was reported, although a spokesperson said, “There’s still recording that needs to be done.”
