To counter the popular Bachelorette, FOX scheduled American Idol 2 first few episodes a half an hour before the ABC show started. That prompted ABC to push Trista and her gang up a half an hour as well, which is “driving fans crazy,” according to the New York Post. Meanwhile, the three networks now “claim they won’t make any more defensive scheduling moves” against American Idol 2, which they expect to dominate the ratings until it concludes in May, Entertainment Weekly reports. NBC, however, is scheduling a new drama in the slot for May sweeps.
