ArchivesThe TV Guide Channel has renewed its American Idol pre-show, Idol Tonight, but it’s bringing on a new co-host.
Joining season three’s Kimberly Caldwell and Popstar’s Rosanna Tavarez will be season one runner-up Justin Guarini. The network’s president, Ryan O’Hara, tells the Hollywood Reporter that Guarini will bring “tons of energy” to the show.
The show “features interviews with former finalists, industry insiders, fashion stylists and vocal coaches, among others,” according to the paper, and “is one of the network’s highest-rated regular series.”
The new season debuts in March, when the top 12 finalists start performing; the show airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
