Kelly Clarkson’s second video won’t include clips from American Idol.
Kelly Clarkson is detaching herself from American Idol, at least for the video for her next single, “Miss Independent.” Kelly tells MTV that the video is “gonna be more Kelly Clarkson the artist, not [Kelly Clarkson] from ‘American Idol.’” Kelly instructed director Liz Friedlander to not include clips from the show like her first video did. The video was shot in an LA house and includes a “cute surfer boy.”
