Idol movie delayed; mall tour begins.
The much-anticipated, sure-to-be-a-blockbuster movie that stars American Idol’s Justin and Kelly has been pushed back to June. “From Justin to Kelly” was originally scheduled to be released at the end of April; now it will debut June 13. The reason for the change? “[W]e saw the film and it’s terrific—and we wanted to release it when all the audience is available, when kids are out of school,” a 20th Century Fox spokesperson told the New York Post. Also, several “favorites” (read: not as popular contestants) from the first season began a tour of malls across the country this past Saturday. Two touring groups will visit only Simon mall properties in the following cities: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Diego, and Washington, D.C.
