American Idol leads FOX to its first non-sports number one win ever.
FOX has never been number one in the ratings for a week “without the benefit of a major sporting event,” The LA Times reports. That changed last week thanks to the three-hour finale of American Idol, which earned “Fox’s highest rating for a regular series in more than 2 1/2 years.”
+ also: “no deal has been finalized” for AI movie, but there is “strong interest.”
+ and: New Kid on the Block Joey McIntyre offers Kelly advice; says “[w]hen Justin and Nikki sang, it was like watching a train wreck.”
